Terms & Conditions

The following terms & conditions apply to all retail sales entered into with Stop Electric Domestic.

1. Account holders to produce physical purchase order when purchasing goods.

2. Special orders are subject to 50% deposit before order is submitted. Items ordered on request may not be returned nor refunded.

3. Appliances that are not delivered by Stop Electric Domestic are taken at Customers' own risk.

4. As required by our Suppliers, customer details are to be listed on invoices for Warranty Claim purposes. Required details are NAME, ADDRESS, TEL, EMAIL. Failure to supply these could lead to warranty claim forfeit as our suppliers will not honour the warranty without personal details on the invoice.

5. Goods returned will be subject to 15% handling fee. Returns only within 7 days of purchase date. Original packaging and proof of purchase required. If an item has been used, connected, fitted, or installed then no return can be entertained. We reserve the right in some cases to deny a cash refund and issue a store credit.

6. Refunds will be made within 14 days of receipt of goods and will be made by the same method we received payment in.

Deliveries & Returns

Deliveries are conducted both on a one man to the doorstep basis and a two man into the property basis. Safe access to a property is at the driver’s discretion and he/she reserves the right to refuse if he/she deems it to be dangerous or unsafe under the health & safety regulations.

Into the property deliveries are assumed to be ground floor only and may be subject to a pre-delivery survey or questionnaire to determine access issues. Failed deliveries will be subject to a re-delivery charge & this is postcode & service dependant. FREE deliveries apply to Walvis Bay, Dolphin Beach, Long Beach, Swakopmund only.

Unless clearly stated on your sales order document to the contrary there is no provision for un-packaging of goods, removing of doors, removal of packaging, fitting/installation of items or removal of old appliances for recycling. Deliveries will only be made to the address on the sales order document.

Delivery dates are an estimate and are subject to change at any time. Please do not book or engage any third party contractors until you have actually received delivery.

Returns: Original condition refers to boxed and unused.

Where the item is a small domestic item (such as a kettle or toaster) you may open the box in order to inspect the item, however the box must be sealed and content placed back as they were.

Where the item is a large appliance (such as a washing machine or refrigerator), there is packaging that once removed, cannot be replaced and therefore removal of this constitutes acceptance of the product. Installation of an item would also constitute acceptance.

In both cases, should you return an item that we deem as unsaleable at its original value we do reserve the right to withold up to 50% of the original item value.

If you are returning Product(s) that are faulty, you will not be responsible for any collection costs. In this case we will assist you in making contact with the appointed service specialist/agent who will log a service call and initially look at resolving the issue. If this is not an issue that they can resolve, and the product is within warranty, a replacement item will be arranged for and provided. However, if any accessories are missing, the cost of these will be additional.

​​​​​​​We are unable to accept items for return as faulty if, in the use of the product you have failed to follow the manufacturers instructions on usage and location of a product. For example, the placement of an appliance in an external building or garage, where it is stated within the manual the item is intended for indoor domestic usage only and not suitable for such a location.

We offer FREE delivery on large appliances for Walvis Bay, Dolphin Beach, Long Beach and Swakopmund.
A fixed rate per kilometer applies for delivery elsewhere. Where we cannot deliver we use a courier of your choice for overnight delivery in most cases anywhere in Namibia. Please note delivery times are estimates only and some deliveries may be delayed due to adverse conditions such as weather or traffic.

Damages & Refund Policy

Please ensure you check items straight away and notify us in writing of any damage to items no later than 48 hours after the time of delivery.   In cases where goods are not being fitted straight away and are to be stored for fitting at a later date we still require them to be checked & notified in the same way. No claims for damage will be entertained after this period or once handled in any way by a third party of any kind.

Please be aware that the contract of sale is with the person or persons detailed on the sales order document & they are deemed to be the customer under our terms. If a third party is nominated to accept the delivery on behalf of the customer then they are assuming full responsibility for the goods and should unpack and check the goods before they sign for them as no claims for damage can be entertained once they have handled the goods.  We reserve the right to request photographic evidence of damage to support your claim.

However, occasionally even the best-engineered products can sometimes go wrong. That's why all products available on our site carry a manufacturers guarantee against defects in materials and workmanship from the date of purchase*. For that extra piece of mind, many of our products carry extended warranties, some up to 5 years but many offer 2 years as standard.

We do understand that occasionally you may experience a problem or have a defective product, and we are here to help. The first steps will be to see if we can resolve the situation. To do this you simply get in contact with us to arrange with the partnered specialist/service agent who will be happy to come and sort out any issues you have with your product. We will have advised you of whom your partnered specialist/service agent is, by email on confirmation of delivery.
